April has started off with a bang, and has not stopped! Climbing temperatures have enabled us to enjoy the pool a bit more, and the beach a few times too! Isabella is now exploring the "Princess Phase" in full force. "May I watch Cinderella (although she still doesn't pronounce "L's" so it's Cindereyya) please and thank you mommy" is a daily quote from her, usually coupled with a dress up ensemble in her hands. This picture is from her first official Cinderella viewing.
March 29th brought Zach's brother Dominic, and his 6 (almost 7 year old) son, Dominic, down for a week for vacation. We cooked Cuban, oh wait, ZACH cooked Cuban churrasco steak Monday night which was AMAZING and perfect for their arrival night. Tuesday the boys went to golf at Crandon on Key Biscayne while I got my blonde, um, blonder at Van Michaels. That night we travelled up to Rainforest Cafe in Fort Lauderdale which was lots of fun! Wednesday we all got too much sun at the beach, but it was super fun and we rented jet skis! Thursday was a "relax inside from sun" for the boys while Zach and I had to work ventured to the relic "Rusty Pelican" for dinner. Friday was more golfing and then a quick trip to Aventura and Cheesecake Factory! Saturday we went to the zoo for their Easter Celebration!
Easter Sunday the three of us attended Brunch at the Biltmore. The day was glorious and we sat out in the courtyard by the fountain. Bella was an angel and the whole morning was delicious, delightful and best of all - QUIET :) We hosted our own private Easter Egg Hunt for Bella at the park when we got home, and, like last year; it was lots of fun.We all were on sugar highs for the rest of the day.
This Saturday, April 10th we headed to the beach at noon. Early enough to get a good parking spot although it was severly overcast and the waves were a little rough. By 2pm the sun was out and it was perfect, high 70's and slight breeze. We have found this convenient location in front of the Eden Roc Hotel to rent a big umbrella and recliners and are able to enjoy the caribbean/vacation music pumping through the hotel speakers. Makes me feel like I'm on vacation!
