Memorial Day 5-25-09

What a rainy weekend we have had! Lots of Mickey Mouse has been watched, the carpet has been swept, dusting, all great homemaker stuff accomplished (see prior post about banana bread :) hee hee).
The good thing was Zach could take off a few days as the hotel was not too busy!
Friday we went to the Aventura mall (raining...) looking for a new duvet cover as the washing machine ate the old one and we have teeny tiny feathers floating around EVERYwhere for the past few weeks- the Dyson is NOT enjoying that and neither is my nose. Lots of sales for Memorial Day, but didn't really find "the one". Saturday we ran a few errands which included Zach getting stuck in a HUGE downpour on his new Harley (ha ha ha...a whole 'nother topic...) and yesterday we didn't do much at all except watch the Indy 500. Zach found a screw stuck in the front passenger side tire of the truck so we took it in to get it fixed this afternoon after Zach got off work early. So here are our exciting pictures :)
Mom sent Izzy a new pretty sparkly twirly outfit and she thoroughly enjoyed wearing it today!
Again, it was rainy and yucky most of the day, so Isabella was picking out her show...either Mickey, Pooh, or Little Einsteins. LOTS of thought goes into this process.
Ah, so here she is controlling the tv at the Tire repair shop.

Instructing Zach on exactly what she wants...

Thank goodness for Mickey D's next door - it took awhile to get the tire fixed.

We counted fingers.

We drove to Coral Gables from Doral (say, 20 minutes South) to find somewhat blue skies and were able to sneak a little playground time in!

"One" - We counted stairs, we counted wheels, we count everything...

I thought these trees were really neat. Some people were climbing/ swinging on the vines...Zach and I kinda hoped I would catch a "disaster" on videotape for America's Funniest home videos, but no such luck :)

Oh, and mom, these pictures were taken from the videocamera, and some during taping- very convenient! Love you all so much!
